After dreaming about this plan for almost 10 years, it's really happening... the Finks are off! The trip looks a little... well, let's be honest, A LOT different than originally planned, but that's what happens while in the middle of a global pandemic. Leaving two months later than scheduled and throwing our entire original itinerary out the window, we kicked off our 240-day tour to one of the few countries around the world that is welcoming Americans in right now—Croatia. We are super excited and thankful they will have us!
We spent countless hours zipping up our lives as we know it (renting out our house, packing up, selling our car and other miscellaneous items, going online with all of our mail and bills, wrapping up work, etc.) the past few weeks. We barely slept or ate the last week but all that stress melted off our shoulders as soon as we stepped into the plane. I couldn't believe how calm and excited I was, especially because we have no idea where the road will take us and know we can't go back home for 240 days!
