Day 113 - Austin's Best of Europe

Since our days in Europe are quickly coming to an end, we have compiled a list of our favorite things. Here's Austin's "Best of" list:

Best Overall Country: SPAIN

Why: It's cool! I speak the language so I could communicate with the locals which I liked.

Best City/Town: GRANADA, SPAIN

Why: The food was good and free (with a drink purchase). Also, we made friends there.

City/Town You Could Live In: GRANADA, SPAIN

Why: It had a great burger and good chocolate cookies.

Best Historical Site: ALHAMBRA in Granada, Spain

Why: It had a nice view of the city.

Best Natural Site: KRKA NATIONAL PARK in Croatia

Why: The waterfall was pretty and we could swim.

Best Attraction: ISLA MÁGICA - Halloween-Themed Amusement Park in Seville, Spain

Best Meal: BREAKFAST at THE BRUNCH CAFE in Lisbon, Portugal

Why: Their pancakes and smoothies (I'll add they had the best morning Spotify playlist too!)

Best Sweet: PASTEL DE NATA - Portugal's famous pastry similar to a mini custard pie

Best Accommodations: PORTO, PORTUGAL AIRBNB

Why: We each have our own suite.

Touring our friend's house in Granada, Spain.

Awaiting tapas in Seville, Spain.

The Alhambra's original Arabian palace door in Granada, Spain.

View of Granada from the Alhambra.

Shooting arcade at the Isla Magica in Seville, Spain. He didn't miss one bullseye.

Gorgeous waterfall and swimming hole at Krka National Park in Croatia.

Savoring Portugal's signature egg custard tart, Pastel de Nata.

The Pena Castle in Sintra, Portugal was a close second for Best Historical Sites along with playing basketball in the castle court in Dubrovnik, Croatia (below).

Eating at The Good Burger in Granada, one of the best burgers on our trip. Good ol' American-style burgers are hard to find here.

He needs to find a court here. We’ve been so distracted with Christmas stuff we forgot to look for one! He says In n Out is way better!

Loved reading about your favorites too, Austin! Man, that burger looks delicious! How close did it come to an In-N-Out burger? I probably would have never ever wanted to leave that gorgeous waterfall and swimming hole! I heard you have been toting around a basketball for most of the trip! That's true love! Hope you find a court in your next destination to hone your ball skills! Love & miss you xo
