Trying to prolong summer, we flew down to Sicily ten days ago, hoping to bypass the extended forecast of rain and thunderstorms predicted for Italy's boot. We crossed our fingers that the rain would blow over in time for us to continue our explorations back on the mainland for there is so much left for us to see. But, it's looking like showers are inevitable—fall has arrived. Not wanting to miss out on the amazing sites Italy has to offer, we packed up our bags, grabbed two pizzas and hopped on an 8-hour train back to the mainland instead of flying somewhere warmer. Clint was so fascinated that the whole train rolled onto a ferry between the ball and the boot of Italy! It was a smooth, empty ride filled with naps, reading and, of course, eating our pizzas!
Our new Airbnb in Pompei is very serene and pretty.
Cool video! How was the pizza?
